Flanagan Foodservice Contributes Over $1 Million to Friends of We Care

Kitchener, ON, June 19, 2015 — On Friday, June 5, 240 golfers gathered at Foxwood Golf and Country Club in Baden, Ontario to participate in Flanagan's 27th annual "We Care" Golf Tournament. This year marks a milestone, as Flanagan Foodservice, along with the support of its employees, customers and suppliers, has contributed over $1 million dollars to Friends of We Care over the years.

Flanagan's is an active and proud supporter of We Care, a foundation that raises funds through the foodservice and hospitality industry to send physically disabled children to Easter Seals camps across the country. Each year, Flanagan Foodservice raises tens of thousands of dollars for this Canadian non-profit charity.

"The true dedication and support the Flanagan Family and all their team members provide has been a large factor as to why Friends of We Care continues to be so successful," says Kevin Collins, Executive Director to Friends of We Care.

To those involved in the annual tournament, tournament organizer and Vice President of Purchasing for Flanagan Foodservice, Jim Grieb says, "By participating in this event, everyone has paid it forward in their life and helped improve the lives of our We Care kids."

Flanagan Foodservice, in raising $1 million, has ensured that 4,000 children have had the opportunity to experience a day at an Easter Seals summer camp.
